IAC 38 Email Distribution List

This is IAC Chapter 38's official Acceptable Use Policy for the membership email list, "members@iac38.org". This policy was approved by the IAC Chapter 38 Board of Directors, and changes may only be approved by majority vote of the Board. If you have a suggestion for a change, addition, or deletion to this policy, please forward to the List Administrator at admin@iac38.org. These policies will be strictly enforced as laid out below:

RULES

1) The list is reserved for current IAC38 members and other non-members deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors

2) The purpose of the list is to distribute email about aerobatics and Chapter 38 events & business.

3) The email addresses contained in the list will never be sold or otherwise given out to anyone except for relevant IAC Chapter 38 business.

4) The list is configured to only allow list members to post. This prevents spam, and generally protects & respects the privacy of the list members.

5) General commercial advertising is not allowed - but, individual members wishing to offer an aerobatic-related item for sale or wanted is allowed.

6) Special announcements from a member that would benefit the membership are allowed.

7) "Flaming" or other abuse between members will NOT be tolerated.



GUIDELINES

Please remember that the list is 70+ strong, and many people use their work email to receive the postings. Some discussions are better suited for "offline" or one-on-one email exchanges.

Please carefully consider using "Reply All" when replying to an IAC38 membership list email. A simple "Reply" goes directly back to the sender. "Reply All" goes to the sender and the entire list.

The List Admin will utilize a "two strikes and you're out" policy. If a list member posts something that is deemed inappropriate by at least two parties (List Admin plus an Officer or Board Member), they will receive a verbal and written warning. If it happens again within a 1-year time period, the member will be removed from the list.

If you feel a particular posting is inappropriate, please notify the List Admin who will put it before the Board for review.

As list members, we should all respect the privacy and sanctity of our membership. Our internet functions are meant to be used as tools to facilitate communication between our members for IAC 38 business and aerobatic topics.

These guidelines will always be published on the website and **strictly enforced**.
